Quality and quantity criteria

Criteria
The quality and quantity criteria for parcels posted are important for accurate and timeous processing. These criteria are explained below.


Presentation
Parcels must be -
  • well packed;
  • correctly addressed;
  • correctly labelled; and
  • sorted in product types (ie COD, insured).

Other specifications
The following are important to remember:
  • A return address and correct postcode must appear on the parcel.
  • The correct postcode is a prerequisite and must appear immediately below the name of the destination post office, not after it.
  • The correct fonts must be used in the address.
  • Addresses must be in block format, written horizontally and printed clearly on white or light-coloured background.
  • Addresses may not contain any punctuation.
