More post office where Tshwane motorists can renew car licenses
Tshwane motorists now have 37 extra post offices where they can renew their annual motor vehicle licences. This brings the total number of post offices with this facility in the Tshwane Metro area to 88. The motor vehicle renewal facility at post offices has proven extremely popular. All post offices are open on Saturday mornings and many on Sunday mornings, which makes it easier for motorists to renew their vehicle licences. They immediately get the licence disk – no need to collect it later – and no commission is paid on a vehicle licence renewed at a post office. Motorists must produce a printed renewal notice to renew a motor vehicle licence. Those without a renewal notice can fill in the relevant documentation at the Post Office for the license to be processed, but would also need their identity document. Ndala Mnisi, head of Consumer Services at the Post Office, said that the Post Office partners with government to make service more accessible to the public. - See attachment for the list of post offices in Gauteng where motorists can renew their vehicle licences.
