The Post Office redirection service enables customers to notify senders of mail of address changes and request mail forwarding to their new address. The service assures that the mail reaches its correct destination

Procedure

The customer (registered post box holder or head of household) must complete the appropriate application form (Application for new, confirmation, change of address, and termination of mail delivery service) available at the Post Office.

The completed application form and identification document should be handed in at any Post Office branch (Application form 71 kb )

Applications for address changes or mail redirection must be submitted in writing on the appropriate form accessible at all Post Offices. Redirection-form (71 kb PDF)

The registered post box holder or the head of the household must make the application on behalf of his or her household.

No middleman or third party who provides a service for a fee may submit an application for a change of address or mail redirection on behalf of a customer.

If more than one person requests a change of residence, each individual's signature is required, unless the head of the household applies on their behalf.

Redirection service

Redirection service allows a customer's mail to be redirected to an address provided by the customer as requested by the customer.

Conditions

The application for the change of address or redirection of mail must be in writing on the relevant form which is available from all Post Offices.

The application must be made by the registered post box holder or the head of the family on behalf of his/her household.

No middleman or third party who renders a service for remuneration may hand in an application for change of address or redirection of mail on behalf of a customer.

A request for the change of address for more than one person must only be acted on if the signature of each person has been furnished, except where an application is made by the head of the family on behalf of his/her household.
